By accessing or using ResumeTailor ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Please read this section carefully as it affects your use of our Service.

  • All resume optimizations are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided as suggestions only.
  • ResumeTailor does NOT guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all content before submitting to employers.
  • We do NOT guarantee job interviews, job offers, or any employment outcomes.
  • AI may produce errors, biases, or inappropriate content despite our best efforts.
  • Never rely solely on AI-generated content for important career decisions.

3. Service Description

ResumeTailor provides AI-powered resume optimization services including:

  • Resume parsing and analysis
  • ATS (Applicant Tracking System) optimization
  • Keyword matching and suggestions
  • Document generation in PDF and DOCX formats
  • Job description extraction from URLs

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information in your resume
  • Review and verify all AI-generated content before use
  • Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Not upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or hack the Service
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials

5. Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use our Service to:

  • Create false or misleading resumes
  • Impersonate another person
  • Upload malicious software or viruses
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Scrape or copy our Service's content
  • Use the Service for discriminatory purposes

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content: You retain all rights to your resume content. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content for the purpose of providing the Service.

Our Content: The Service and its original content (excluding user content) are and will remain the exclusive property of ResumeTailor.

AI-Generated Content: Content generated by our AI is provided as a service. You may use it for your personal job search purposes.

7. Payment Terms

If you purchase a paid subscription:

  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You can cancel anytime and retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice
  • You must provide accurate billing information
  • Credits are allocated at the start of each billing cycle and expire at the end of that cycle
  • Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period

8. Refund & Cancellation Policy

ALL PURCHASES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.

No Refunds: We do not offer refunds for any purchases, including but not limited to subscription fees, whether used or unused. By making a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that all sales are final.

No Free Trials: ResumeTailor does not offer free trial periods for paid subscriptions. We offer a free tier with 3 optimization credits so you can evaluate the service before making any purchase decision.

Credit Expiration: All credits expire at the end of your billing cycle. Unused credits are forfeited and are not eligible for refund or rollover.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support. Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
  • No partial refunds will be issued for the remaining time in your billing cycle
  • Your account will revert to the free tier after your paid period ends
  • Any unused credits will be forfeited at the end of your billing period

Your Responsibility: It is your sole responsibility to cancel your subscription before the renewal date if you do not wish to be charged. We are not responsible for charges incurred due to failure to cancel in a timely manner.

Chargebacks: Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in immediate termination of your account and forfeiture of any remaining credits or access.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

IN NO EVENT SHALL RESUMETAILOR, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

  • LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
  • FAILURE TO SECURE EMPLOYMENT OR INTERVIEWS
  • REJECTION OF JOB APPLICATIONS
  • CAREER SETBACKS OR DAMAGES

10. Account Termination

Termination by You: You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account through the dashboard settings or by contacting support.

Termination by Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Creating false or misleading resumes
  • Harmful conduct toward other users or our service

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We may delete your account data in accordance with our data retention policies. Any unused credits will be forfeited and no refunds will be issued.

11. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use ResumeTailor. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, you may not use our Service under any circumstances.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ResumeTailor, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your use of the Service
  • Content you submit, including your resume information
  • Any false or misleading information in your resume
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any claim that your use of our Service caused damage to a third party

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will notify you by:

  • Posting the updated Terms on our website
  • Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • Sending an email notification to your registered email address for significant changes

Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed from these Terms. The invalidity of any provision shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
